On our Asia adventure we took off from Phuket to explore beautiful Chiang Mai, Thailand. Here we had the absolute pleasure of staying at a gorgeous hotel called the Akyra Manor, Chiang Mai. This is a boutique style hotel, but is definitely not lacking in luxury. The hotel is very hip, and definitely a place to be seen at happy hour. Their rooftop Rise Bar is maybe the most stunning rooftop I’ve ever been able to enjoy a cocktail (or two) on! *This is saying a lot considering I spend most of my summer evenings rooftop hopping back at home.

You can overlook the entire city, and hang out in the see-through pool while enjoying the million dollar sunset over Chiang Mai. Does it get better than that?

Our room was very spacious with a comfy bedroom, makeup station, desk, lounge, and bathroom area. My favourite part though, was our large tub that overlooked the courtyard.

It was the perfect hotel location for relaxing while also being the perfect neighbourhood for what Chiang Mai has to offer in terms of entertainment and nightlife. It was walking distance to so many amazing local coffee shops, chic boutiques, bars, and galleries. Some of my favourites were just down the street from the hotel and included this AMAZING bubble tea cafe BROWN (as pictured below) and the cutest frozen yogurt joint called the Frose Cafe!

The staff were so friendly, and also helped us book amazing tours (including an unforgettable trip the Elephant Nature Park). *Highly recommend this incredible experience if you find yourself in Chiang Mai. It is one of the special locations where elephants have been saved from past traumas and now live out their days peacefully in the sanctuary.

The hotel staff also recommended wonderful places for dinner! Our favourite dining experience in Asia (so far) was in Chiang Mai at David’s Kitchen and was recommended to us by the concierge at the our hotel. Our evening at David’s Kitchen was impeccable, and I would return to the city just to re-live that meal.

We traveled by Tuk Tuk and saw the best of what Chiang Mai has to offer while devouring mangos and sticky rice along the way. I fell in love with this location in a short two nights stay. Can’t wait to return!
